A cat appearing in a dream tends to reflect independence and a kind of intuition that doesn't explain itself. Cats move on their own terms, so dreaming of one can point to a part of you that resists being managed or predicted. A cat that's aloof or hiding may echo feelings you're keeping private, while an affectionate one suggests you're more at ease trusting your own instincts.
